Privacy Policy

Effective October 9, 2026

Who we are

Cardelle is software for dog grooming businesses, operated by Zenon Davis, an individual in California, United States ("Cardelle", "we", "us"). Questions about this policy or your information go to zenon@cardelle.app.

This policy covers three groups of people: grooming businesses and their staff who use Cardelle ("shops"); the shops' customers, whose details a shop keeps in Cardelle ("pet owners"); and visitors to cardelle.app.

Shops control their customers' information

A shop decides what it records about its customers and their pets, and Cardelle keeps and processes that information on the shop's behalf. The shop's own privacy policy also applies to it. Pet owners can make requests to their shop or to us; we'll work with the shop to answer them.

What we collect

How we use it

To run Cardelle for the shop: scheduling, profiles, intake, the text messages the shop sends or turns on, matching payments to appointments, and the shop's own reports. Also to keep the service secure, fix problems, and meet legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information, use it for advertising, or share one shop's information with another. Each shop's records are kept separate from every other shop's.

Text messages

Pet owners get texts only from their own shop's business number. Automated texts (confirmations, reminders, ready-for-pickup and any others the shop turns on) are sent only to people who have agreed to receive them. Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop, or HELP for help.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

Information from Google

When a shop owner connects their Google Local Services Ads account, Cardelle reads that account's leads (the customer's name, phone number, email, the job they asked about, and their messages) to show them in the shop's inbox, and may update a lead's status in Google when the shop books it. Cardelle uses this information only for that shop and only to provide these features. It is not used for advertising, not sold, and not read by people except with the shop's permission, for security, or when the law requires.

Cardelle's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

A shop can disconnect Google from Cardelle at any time, or remove Cardelle's access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Who helps us run Cardelle

These providers handle information only to provide their part of the service:

Information is stored in the United States. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety of people or the service.

How long we keep it

We keep a shop's information while the shop uses Cardelle. When a shop asks us to, or closes its account, we delete its information within 90 days, except where the law requires us to keep a record. Copies in our providers' backups are overwritten on their backup schedule.

Security

Cardelle uses encrypted connections (HTTPS), keeps each shop's data separate at the database level, limits what each staff role can see, and keeps vendor keys on the server. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your information, we'll tell the affected shops and people as the law requires.

Your choices

Pet owners can ask their shop, or us, to see, correct or delete their information, and can stop texts at any time by replying STOP. Shops can ask us for a copy of their data or for it to be deleted. We'll confirm a request comes from the right person before acting on it.

Cardelle does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Children

Cardelle is for businesses and isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here with a new effective date, and tell shops about significant changes before they take effect.
